We’ve heard amazing and inspirational reasons why people start their journey toward better health. Allie's My Why feature keeps those reasons front and center to help remind people why they're on this journey. This guide provides information on how to use the My Why feature on Allie.
Creating My Why
To successfully create My Why on Allie, you need to add a photo and a caption.
1. To get started, tap on the My Why card on the Task screen.
Alternatively, you can also get started by clicking [Settings] and then tapping on [My Why].
2. Tap on [Create My Why] button to continue to adding photo and caption.
3. Tap on [Choose Photo] to open your photo selection screen and choose your preferred photo from your gallery
4. Upon selecting your photo, you will be presented with a photo edit screen shown below. The goal is to have the focus area of the photo in the middle of the frame. Pinch outwards to zoom in on your photo and pinch inwards to zoom out. Hold and move the photo around to reposition it within the frame. Tap on [Choose] button when you’re satisfied with the positioning of your photo.
5. After choosing your photo, tap the [Caption] text field to add a caption for your photo. Please note that the caption has a character limit of 120 characters.
6. When you’re satisfied with both your photo and caption, tap [Save My Why] button to save the photo and caption to your profile.
7. And voila, the My Why widget will be added to your Task screen. A tooltip will be shown to confirm your My Why has successfully saved and to give pointers on how to use and edit it.
8. A downward scroll on your screen expands the My Why widget while an upward scroll on the screen shrinks the My Why widget.
Editing My Why
Editing My Why allows you to change both your photo and caption to capture your present motivation for making your health a priority.
1. To Edit your My Why photo and/or caption, tap on the My Why photo on your Tasks screen.
2. Tap on [Change Photo] to change your photo. This lets you choose and edit a preferred photo from your gallery. Tap on the caption text field to edit your caption. You can also choose to leave the caption empty if preferred.
3. Once you’re satisfied with your photo and caption, tap on [Save My Why] to save the changes. Your edited photo and caption will be displayed on the My Why widget on the Tasks screen.
Deleting My Why
1. To delete My Why (both photo and caption), tap on the My Why photo on the Tasks screen.
2. Tap on the [Delete] button at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap the [Delete] button to confirm you want to delete My Why. My Why will be deleted and removed from the Tasks screen.
4. To add My Why to your profile again, simply tap on [Settings] then tap on [My Why].
